    Unethical organization that offers cremation to healthy people causing severe anxiety. One of their so called Promotional Letter came in a mail. The first thing popped into my mind is to call my attorney. I can only imagine what kind of people run this service. Stay away!

  • A DISASTER!! Neptune did not return my mother's ashes until 28 days after her death in December 2016. Neptune gave empty excuses, no compassion and a blatant lack of respect for my mother's body and ashes. My family and I were shocked, saddened and stressed at the month long ordeal and fiasco. We seek a refund for my mother's Neptune contract and to cancel my father's contract with a complete refund before we experience another disastrous experience. Neptune has failed in every aspect of the cremation process: horrendous service, poor communication, lack of compassion, and worst of all a 28 wait for my family and I to have our loved one's ashes returned.

    I would give a minus star if that was an option. This was the worst experience of my life.
    March 16th Floyd ##### (my husband) passed away....I told the nurse we were Neptune...she took his Neptune card to place the one needed call. She came back about 20 min later...Neptune said they didn't pickup in Pahrump. I told her "They are suppose to pick up anywhere in the world. We had even purchased an additional policy guaranteeing this." The nurse went back, got hold of a supervisor...they were very sorry, misinformation..yes of course they would pickup....I went home in tears and totally drained. Phone rings... it is Neptune Society of Las Vegas, they had Floyd in Las Vegas could I come into their office to sign some papers? (65 miles one way!) He wouldn't be cremated until I did?! I was incapable of driving. I explained we had signed all of the papers at the time of purchase. This was one of the promises made by Mr. Larry Crum. Not according to them, there were still more papers. If I could find a ride, they would meet me at 10:30 the next morning, meanwhile Floyd would be there, waiting all alone! This completely undid me....I had been sleeping beside his bed for 7 months, just so he would not be alone. I kept remembering the sales persons words. One call that's all, your family could grieve in peace. We were purchasing peace of mind. How could this be happening?
    March 17th, approximately 7 AM I called the main number for Neptune. This got me the Reno Office, I don't know why...I told them what was going on. I wanted the Las Vegas office to Fax, over-night, Email or pay a Taxi to drive the forms over to Pahrump from Las Vegas, I just couldn't drive there. The person in Reno said "of course, that is what we would offer to our clients". She went on to say, "she would call the Las Vegas manager, Jaye MacPherson." Karen Murray, Licensed Funeral Arranger, from the Las Vegas office arrived with the paperwork. She told me they (Las Vegas Neptune) were having a lot of problems with Mr. Larry Crum's contracts...I was the 3rd complaint. (why should I care. Why was she telling me this??) She also said contrary to the salesperson's promise, there would be additional Fees!!! As a "special favor" to me since this had been handled so badly they were paying them. (this implies when it is my turn, there will be additional fees?)
    Since there would be additional fees if our sons wanted to go on the boat, we requested the ashes be sent directly to them. The only change from the original contract to be requested.
    This has been the worst experience I have ever had. That includes all previous family's cremations and burials all put together!
    I feel since they failed on all points promised there should be an entire refund on Contract No. ####### for Floyd G.
    I am also requesting the cancellation of the Contract No.###### for Wanda , since I cannot trust there won't be additional fees and stress for my family when my turn comes.
    In a cover letter from Neptune Society the following statements are:
    ELIMINATE CONFUSION AT TIME OF DEATH. They created the confusion.
    ONE PHONE CALL AT THE TIME OF NEED. Explained above
    GUARANTEED COST. Not according to Neptune in Las Vegas.
    PROVIDE PROTECTION AND SECURITY FOR YOUR FAMILY.
    PEACE OF MIND. Explained above.
    TRANSPORTATION PROTECTION AVAILABLE. We purchased this, still had stress and confusion.

    it goes on to say:
    Activate these benefits now and you will relieve your family of emotional and financial stress, and you can extend valuable savings to your family members. I filed a complaint with Nevada State Insurance and The board of Funeral Directors. Corp. HQ should close the Las Vegas Office.
    The Las Vegas Neptune Society failed on all counts.
